Pets can suffer from many of the same eye problems that we humans do, from vision issues to more complex conditions. Just like us, our furry friends rely on their eyes for navigating the world, so when something goes wrong, it can be tough for them—and for us too! That’s where veterinary ophthalmologists come in. These specialists are equipped to provide the most accurate diagnosis and create tailored treatment plans that get pets back to seeing clearly and feeling their best.

Plateau Animal Hospital is excited to share that we now have a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Dan Brogdon, partnering with us to lead monthly eye clinics for your pets. Dr. Brogdon is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions, including common issues like vision problems, cataracts, and dry eye, just to name a few. Whether it’s a minor irritation or something more serious, Dr. Brogdon’s expertise will help ensure your pet gets the care they need.

In addition to his diagnostic skills, Dr. Brogdon is also available to perform minor surgical procedures such as the Alger brush technique for treating refractory corneal ulcers, cryotherapy for eyelid tumors, and minor ocular centesis for glaucoma. These procedures are designed to improve your pet’s eye health and give them the best chance at a full recovery.

No matter what type of eye problem your pet is dealing with, rest assured that we’re here to help! We’re committed to providing the highest level of care and ensuring your pet’s eyes stay as healthy and happy as possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule an appointment. Dr. Brogdon and the dedicated team at Plateau  Animal Hospital are ready to assist!
